Alexa Watach
Alexa Watach is an active scholar in the T-GAPP program. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a PhD in nursing science and completed a T32 postdoctoral fellowship in sleep research at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Watach’s research focuses on the design and implementation of innovative solutions for improving patient, provider, and system-level outcomes in sleep medicine. Prioritizing patient-centered care in both her past and current work, she has leveraged her expertise in qualitative research to elevate the patient voice and better understand patient preferences. As a T-GAPP scholar, she will apply implementation science methodology to evaluate the effectiveness and scalability of an evidence-based intervention to improve patient outcomes and efficiency of care for adults prescribed positive airway pressure therapy.
