Ash Tryba serves as the community engagement and research coordinator for the IGNITE study at the Penn Urban Health Lab within the Center for Health Justice. Ash enjoys the privilege of connecting with neighbors and working with the interdisciplinary IGNITE team to ground research and programming in community wisdom.  

With over 15 years of experience in community outreach, engagement, communications, and strategic planning, Ash is committed to centering community insight while operationalizing visionary ideas. Their professional journey spans roles as a special educator and yoga teacher, reflecting a commitment to individual and community well-being. Ash is honored to facilitate meaningful partnerships across their networks to drive transformation. 

Ash holds a BA in environmental studies and French from Temple University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania. They are a certified continuing education provider in behavioral solutions and trauma-Informed practices.
