PhD
Senior Data Scientist, Core for Precision Resource Utilization

Isaac Perron is a senior data scientist at the Core for Precision Resource Utilization. In this role, Isaac works with stakeholders across the health system to understand how data analysis and/or predictive modeling can improve the way health care is delivered at Penn Medicine. He works closely with health care providers and other frontline staff to validate that the data matches the real world. He uses agile methodology to prototype minimal viable products, iterating until the data product converges on a promising solution. Isaac enjoys finding patterns in the chaos and using those insights to help people make decisions.

Isaac earned a biomedical engineering degree from Rutgers University followed by a PhD in neuroscience from University of Pennsylvania. After his doctoral defense, Isaac enrolled in the Insight Data Science program, which accelerated his career in industry data science. In 2018, he joined the Data Science and Data Products team at Worldpay/FIS, learning from their team of experts during his “post-doc in business.” Isaac rejoined Penn in 2022 to apply his data science, data product, and business skills to improving health care delivery for patients and clinicians.
