Research Project Manager, Center for Insights to Outcomes

Kathryn Eng is a research project manager and the Blue Coats program lead at the Center for Insights to Outcomes. She supports clinical teams across Penn Medicine by elevating their well-being to the same standard as patient care.

Prior to this role, Kathryn was the founder and executive director of the Underground Clinic, an innovative multidisciplinary clinic that cared for the underserved population in Tampa, Florida. To meet the needs of this community, she piloted a novel hepatitis C treatment program, launched a mental health counseling initiative, and developed a care coordination program that decreased hospitalization rates by over 80 percent. 

Kathryn obtained her bachelor’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida and has been involved in the nonprofit sector for the past 12 years. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health in health care organizations and management.
