Meg Meador is the managing director for the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit (NU). In this role, she manages the strategic development of NU’s portfolio by overseeing operational staff working to develop, test, and scale new nudges to steer decisions toward high-value care, better patient outcomes, and enhanced public health. The NU portfolio includes a complex mix of clinical initiatives and research projects executed across Penn Medicine and partner sites.

Meg brings over 20 years of experience leading quality improvement and implementation science projects, with a focus on cardiovascular health and chronic diseases, dedicating 14 of those years to working with underserved populations. Her expertise spans evidence translation, evaluation, and scaling interventions through various modalities, including national learning collaboratives, partnerships, health information technology, tool and resource development, publications, presentations, and other communication formats. Most recently, Meg served as director of quality improvement and integration at the National Association of Community Health Centers, where she oversaw a range of projects with community health centers. She has previously worked at a health center–controlled network, for a payor, and as a U.S. Army Medical Service Corps Officer, where she deployed to Suriname and Bosnia.

Meg holds a BA in human biology from Stanford University, an MPH in health behavior and health education from UNC–Chapel Hill, and a graduate certificate in public health informatics from Johns Hopkins University. She is also a certified professional in healthcare quality.
