Nudge request for proposals: Share your ideas to improve care delivery and clinical outcomes
The Penn Medicine Nudge Unit is seeking proposals for projects that use nudges to improve care delivery and clinical outcomes. Projects must be led by a member of the Penn/Penn Medicine community and implement a nudge in one or more of the following areas:
- Transforming care
- Efficiency and automation
- Wellness and engagement
- Health equity
- Population health
Teams whose proposals are selected will collaborate with the Nudge Unit to design, test, and evaluate their nudge. The Nudge Unit can support problem definition, nudge design, implementation, data extraction and evaluation, stakeholder management, project management, and health system resource navigation. The Nudge Unit Executive Steering Committee can also provide executive sponsorship to facilitate project implementation.
“The Nudge Unit is here to provide the resources and guidance to help care teams design and test solutions to guide clinicians and/or patients towards adopting best practices,” says Nudge Unit director M. Kit Delgado, MD, MS. “We help with refining the problem to be solved, engaging key stakeholders and operational leaders, pilot testing solutions, obtaining and analyzing data, and publishing and disseminating key results with goal producing effective and equitable nudges that can be scaled throughout the health system and beyond.”
