Sarah Morgan

Program Director, Information Services

Sarah Morgan is the information services program director at the Center for Health Care Transformation and Innovation. She provides information technology (IT) expertise and acts as a liaison between Penn Medicine's Information Services department and operational partners throughout the health system.

Sarah has been an employee of Penn Medicine for over 20 years and held roles including patient service representative, float pool staff, front end coordinator, and IT analyst before her current position as an IT director. After working in ambulatory scheduling operations for a few years, she moved into the corporate Information Services department and was a member of the Patient Access team that worked to install scheduling, registration, and billing modules for PennChart. Sarah led several significant PennChart efforts such as implementing the inpatient modules at Penn Medicine's Princeton and Chester County locations. More recently, she served as the lead IT program director for the HUP at Cedar Ave project, which required converting and assimilating a new hospital into our system within six months.

Currently, Sarah is working closely with Chief Transformation Officer Raina Merchant and executives across the health system to lead the Executive Transformation Workgroup, whose goal is to align the enterprise on key initiatives and move them forward to success. She is also working on ways to reimagine and implement models of care. Many of these efforts focus on how we can expand and provide care to patients outside of a traditional hospital setting.

Sarah attended Drexel University in Philadelphia and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
