Sharon Tejada
Sharon Tejada is an innovation manager at the Center for Health Justice. Her work is focused on the Health Justice Transformation portfolio, which seeks to transform operations by collaborating with staff and leaders to infuse justice and antiracism into all aspects of the health system and to guide strategy and implementation enabling radical structural and policy change.
Before joining CHJ, Sharon was an innovation manager at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I), where she managed the innovation accelerator portfolio. Her work at PC3I includes projects focused on improving coordinated oncology scheduling and optimizing social worker time spent on top-of-license activities. Sharon previously managed AI Data Operations and Customer Operations at Ambience Healthcare, a startup developing a specialty-specific AI scribe, where she specialized in systems design, optimization, and scaling. Her prior experience spans higher education, emergency medicine, and disaster preparedness.
Sharon received her bachelor’s degree with in molecular and cell biology (immunology) and linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and her master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Pittsburgh.
