Jaylen Williams is a research coordinator at the Center for Insights to Outcomes, working across the University of Pennsylvania’s Schools of Engineering and Medicine. His work supports studies that examine the correlation between social media and health, with a particular focus on the relationship between online health information and demographic identifiers.

Jaylen earned his bachelor’s degree in public health and his master’s in public health with a concentration in health behavior from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has hands-on clinical experience from his role as a disease intervention specialist at the Alabama Department of Health’s sexual health clinic. Additionally, he has applied his experience in qualitative research methods to support public health research and community outreach efforts for a breast cancer nonprofit organization. Jaylen aims to pursue a career in research, using his experience to advance health equity, particularly among underserved populations.
