Fewer readmissions, emergency visits for gynecologic oncology patients in texting program
The Together Care program, which uses automated text messaging to monitor gynecologic cancer patients after an operation, was linked lower rates of hospital readmissions and emergency visits. In this case study, the Together Care team describes the evolution of the program, pilot results, and considerations for other teams interested in implementing a similar program.

Nudge Unit collab promotes safer firearm storage
As part of the Nudge Unit's ongoing efforts to reduce gunshot injury, the team is partnering with Penn Trauma's Sunny Jackson to give away safes and gun locks to the Philadelphia community. During a November event at Penn Medicine's Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine, the team handed out more than 80 gun safety devices. The program, which initially launched with a grant from Accelerate Health Equity, has expanded with funding from the state Department of Health.
